(Not) Horse of the Week
Welcome to my first, and hopefully only, rendition of (not) horse of the week.
When I make my horses, as I've stated in my previous blog posts several times, my process of creating them is primarily based off of what just feels right. And this week, no horse of the week is what feels right.
It's been a week-one of those feelings I know every one of us has felt at some point. Everything this week just felt like a little bit too much, even things like a small horse felt like a lot. So, a horse didn't happen this week, and that's okay.
I think it's important to let these feelings happen, so creative time took a back seat for me this week. So, no horse this week, but that doesn't mean this post is empty, I'm still here:) I want this blog to include details my processes, not just the outcome, and sometimes the process looks like pausing. The horses will return next week when they’re ready to be made.
Until then, thanks for being here, even for the in between moments.
It's totally okay to take a break! I think it's something we could all be more content with, especially when making a more creative pursuit. Sometimes we need to take a step back and take it all in before we can come back to a project refreshed, renewed, and ready to tackle any problems.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I love that you shared this. Sometimes pausing is part of the process, and it’s refreshing to see that side too. The horses will come when they’re ready 💛
