Horse of the Week: Cordelia
This space will serve as a place to share my HOTW (horse of the week). To explain, my New Year's resolution was to assemble and paint a mobile paper horse every week as a way to reserve space for exercising my creativity, which is easy for me to neglect when it comes to school, work, social time, and too much screen time. Each horse has a name and thought behind its design, which I'll also share weekly.
To start off, my first horse is named Cordelia, and she is made of a repurposed Aldi bag. The design I painted on her is meant to resemble one similar to a quilt, specifically a quilt that my Nana made for me for my high school graduation. I really like the contrast of her colors against the brown paper and her simple, pearlescent buttons. I chose Cordelia as her name because she gives quaint, grandma vibes with a cool and confident undertone.
Hi Lauren! I think that yours is a really creative idea! It sounds like a fun way to stay away from screen time and take a moment to relax. I like the fact that the horses will be different from one another, but mostly the fact that there is a story behind them and a reason for the names you choose!
