Horse of the Week: Penny

Welcome back to your favorite weekly update. This week's featured HOTW is Penny. 

Penny's bright colors and her floral background really remind me of summer. My inspiration for her came from the painting "Springtime" by Monet. My parents have had it hanging in their bathroom (a print, not the real one 🙃) and I always loved looking at it when I was little. It made me feel an overwhelming sense of warmth and safety- the idea of being encapsulated in a cove of trees with the sun peeking through. 

At a young age, I determined the name of the girl in the painting was Penny. This was likely because of my love for the movie "The Rescuers", but I still quite like that name for her. With that, of course Penny is  modeled off of Penny, so deciding her name was easy.
